Frequently Asked Questions
These answers are written to match the structure and boundaries of the Branding DNA Intensive.
What is the Branding DNA Intensive?
The Branding DNA Intensive is a guided, strategy-first working experience designed to clarify brand vision, meaning, and direction before design begins. It focuses on vision stewardship, market reality, interpretive clarity, and documented coherence. It is not a design workshop, marketing program, or coaching engagement.
What is the difference between the Working Branding Profile and the Final Branding Profile?
The Working Branding Profile is the live document used during the sessions and completion windows. The Final Branding Profile is a separate deliverable issued after profile locking and Interpretation Alignment Review. The final document becomes the authoritative reference for future design or implementation work.
How long is the Intensive?
The Intensive includes two live, guided sessions (120 minutes each). Each session is followed by a defined 48-hour completion window to refine assigned sections. Optional office hours are provided after Session 2 for clarification.
What are the completion windows?
A 48-hour completion window follows Session 1 and Session 2. These windows are part of the program structure and are used to complete and refine required sections of the Working Branding Profile.
What are office hours for?
Office hours are optional and are used for clarification only. They are not an additional working session and are not used to expand scope or restart work. They exist to resolve questions so the Working Branding Profile can be completed with clarity.
When does locking happen?
The Working Branding Profile remains editable through the completion windows and the optional office hours period. Final locking occurs approximately 48 hours after office hours conclude. Locking creates the boundary required for Interpretation Alignment Review to begin.
When will I receive my Final Branding Profile?
After your profile is locked, Design Miwa conducts the Interpretation Alignment Review. The finalized Branding Profile is delivered within 5–12 business days following profile locking.
This timeframe ensures thoughtful interpretation and structured refinement before delivery.
Why does delivery take 5–12 business days?
Interpretation Alignment Review involves evaluating emotional tone, visual direction, concept clarity, and structural coherence. This process requires careful professional assessment rather than immediate turnaround.
What is Interpretation Alignment Review?
Interpretation Alignment Review is conducted by Design Miwa after locking to confirm coherence across meaning, emotional tone, and interpretive direction. This may include refining language and aligning emotional signals (including color direction, sound cues, visual focus, and concept clarity) as an interpretive safeguard. This review is not a design service.
Is design included (logo, style guide, visual identity)?
No. The Intensive prepares your brand for design by clarifying and documenting meaning and direction. Logo design, visual identity systems, style guides, and creative production are separate engagements governed by separate agreements.
What if I miss deadlines or submit vague answers?
The program depends on specific, relevant input. If a submission remains unclear after the completion windows and office hours, the remedy is a Short Private Alignment Session (paid). If this option is declined, Design Miwa may proceed using the information available or limit deliverables accordingly.
What is the Short Private Alignment Session?
A Short Private Alignment Session is a focused paid clarification option used only when corrections are needed after the normal completion flow. It includes up to 30 minutes of focused clarification, review of submitted corrections, and one follow-up interpretation alignment. It does not reopen scope or extend the Intensive.
Do I need to prepare anything before Session 1?
Once accepted, you will be asked to complete required preparation before Session 1. This includes reviewing Vision Series Blog 1 (written or audio) and completing the Vision Stewardship AI Writing Exercise Tool. You will also receive the participant workbook and Working Branding Profile access as part of the program materials.
Is the AI tool required? What does it do?
AI-supported tools may be used for clarity during documentation. They do not replace your input, and they do not produce final decisions. All interpretation alignment decisions and final deliverables are conducted by Design Miwa.
How does application + placement work?
Applications are reviewed to ensure alignment with the structure, pace, and intent of the Intensive. Placement may be Tier 1, Tier 2, Private Branding Discovery, pause, or waitlist. Placement recommendations preserve program integrity and are not treated as an upsell pathway.
What is Tier 2 — Cohort + Private Review?
Tier 2 includes everything in Tier 1, plus one 60-minute private session structured as 30 minutes of Identity Readiness Review and 30 minutes of focused strategic consulting. Tier 2 does not change scope, deadlines, locking, or delivery timing.
What is Private Branding Discovery?
Private Branding Discovery is a one-on-one engagement used when cohort structure is not the right fit. It is a structured discovery process for strategic clarity and direction. It does not include cohort language or workbook locking, and it does not include design execution.
What is your refund policy?
Program fees are non-refundable once access to program materials has been provided. Materials include the participant workbook, Working Branding Profile workspace, and any AI-assisted tools included with enrollment.
What happens after I receive my Final Branding Profile?
After delivery, you may be routed into one of three next-step paths based on readiness and clarity: brand identity development, additional clarification support, or an integration pause. Participation does not require continuation into additional services.
If you have a logistical question not covered here, reply to your placement email so it can be addressed within the program structure.
